Ravens Return Blocked Field Goal For TD With No Time Left To Beat Browns
We weren’t looking forward to tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the 2-8 Browns and the 3-7 Ravens—neither was ESPN—but dammit if it didn’t turn out to be an incredibly exciting game, with the most batshit insane ending of the year.
With 55 seconds left in the 27-27 ballgame, the Ravens took over the ball on their own 38. But Matt Schaub was immediately picked off by Tramon Williams, and Austin Davis—in at quarterback for Cleveland after Josh McCown’s shoulder was injured—took the Browns 13 yards to the Ravens’ 33-yard line. That set up a 51-yard field goal attempt for the weak-legged Travis Coons, and his low drive was blocked by Brent Urban, making his NFL debut.
Will Hill scooped up the loose ball, and returned it to the house to inflict upon the Browns the most Browns loss imaginable.
