Massive Bench-Clearing Brawl Erupts At Mexico-Canada WBC Game
So far, the World Baseball Classic has been everything the quadrennial tournament is expected to be: irrelevant, uninteresting, and disruptive to MLB teams' Spring Training plans.
Wait, did we say uninteresting? Strike that. A bench-clearing brawl between Mexico and Canada today resulted in multiple ejections (including, later, some fans) and perhaps evidence that players take the exhibition games more seriously than we'd previously thought. While the fight really wasn't as bad as it looked (baseball brawls never are, of course) that players could be bothered to leave the bench alone shows they've got passion for the event.
