Aaron Judge passes Yogi Berra for No. 5 in Yankees HRs

Aaron Judge continued his march through New York Yankees history on Tuesday, belting his 359th homer to pass Yogi Berra for fifth on the club's all-time list.
Judge, 33, has 44 home runs on the year after going deep off the Detroit Tigers' Casey Mize for a first-inning solo shot in New York. The shot sailed 412 feet, well beyond the fence in right-center field.
Judge is in his 10th major league season, all with the Yankees.
Berra, a Hall of Fame catcher, guided the Yankees to 10 World Series championships and was an 18-time All-Star from 1946-63. He was a three-time American League Most Valuable Player.
Judge could be in line for his third AL MVP this year as he led the league, entering play Tuesday, in batting average (.321), runs (114), walks (104), on-base percentage (.443) and slugging percentage (.656). He also paces the league with 7.5 Wins Above Replacement.
Still above Judge on the Yankees' home run list are Babe Ruth (659), Mickey Mantle (536), Lou Gehrig (493) and Joe DiMaggio (361) -- all Hall of Famers.
