After Court, Hope Solo And Jerramy Stevens Went And Got Married
Seems Olympic gold medal-winning goalkeeper Hope Solo and all-around awful human being Jerramy Stevens didn't let a rocky Tuesday afternoon in a Kirkland courtroom scuttle their plans to get married, as multiple reports throughout Wednesday claimed that Solo and Stevens, a former Seahawks tight end who has previously been convicted of assault and accused of rape, got hitched some time Tuesday night.
The wedding was reported by multiple sources, including Dave Mahler, a sport-talk radio host on KJR, and KING-5 News.
Jillian Loyden, a backup goalkeeper to Solo on the U.S. National women's soccer team, apparently attended the wedding. A Twitter post attributed to Loyden said: "Happy to witness such an amazing celebration of real love."
The ceremony and reception came only a few hours after Stevens, who turned 33 on Tuesday, and Solo, 31, appeared in Kirkland Municipal Court after the former football star allegedly assaulted his fiancee early Monday. A stun gun was reportedly used to break up the altercation.
Police were summoned to Solo's Kirkland home by her brother, Marcus, and Stevens was arrested while hiding in an upstairs bedroom, according to police.
Stevens was released because of insufficient evidence and the incident is being investigated.
The couple, who may have been dating about two months, applied for a marriage license Nov. 8.
I don't know. I just don't see this marriage ending well. Call it a hunch.
