Alleged Rape Reported At Home Of Nebraska Football Players
According to The World-Herald, police are investigating an alleged rape that took place at the home of two Nebraska football players, quarterback Tommy Armstrong and wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp.
A Lincoln police spokeswoman told The World-Herald that a 20-year-old woman went to a local hospital at 2:30 pm Sunday and reported the alleged assault. The paper also managed to contact Armstrong, who had this to say:
He said police told the three that they wanted to hear their side of the story about what might have happened. “After talking to us, (the police) said you guys should be fine,” Armstrong said.
“I don’t know why that person said that,” Armstrong said, referring to the alleged victim. “We’re confused about the whole situation. From what we’re hearing, everything was consensual.”
Police say the suspect has been contacted, but no arrests have been made.
