Amar'e Stoudemire Tweets Marriage Proposal, Looks Snazzy

Learned Jewish scholar and fighter of fire extinguishers Amar'e Stoudemire tweeted news of his engagement in Paris last night. Stoudemire wrote that when Alicia Welch accepted his proposal, it was "surreal" and that at the time of his tweet, he was "still floating." L'chaim!

Amar'e's outfit for the night nearly overshadowed his bride-to-be, though. As part-originator of a booming NBA subculture of sartorial hipster dandies, Stoudemire's fashion choices tend to be pretty bold. But last night, he outdid even himself: the pink (salmon?) suit, the straw fedora, the sunglasses (lest the sun ruin dinner). No NBA player has rocked a hat this well since, uh, never mind.
