Penn State head coach James Franklin spoke at Penn State Media Day about, among other things, the experience of taking all his players paintballing for a recent team outing. This may not have been a great idea for a person whose job it is to push these competitive young men to endure exhaustion and discomfort every day:

“The rules were, when you got shot you put the gun above your head, and you run off the field, and no one’s supposed to shoot you, at that time. And I got shot in the first round when I was at the far end of the field, and I put my gun up to run off the field, and literally the entire team just sprayed me.”

Franklin was maybe a little too eager to show off his war wounds!
