Andrew Cashner Might Be Better At Hacky Sack Than Pitching
Save for the almost-nightly Manny Machado dinger, things are going horrifically wrong in Baltimore. Any twisted soul who’s still keeping up with this team would be wise to hang onto whatever fleeting moments of joy roll around—like Andrew Cashner kicking this comebacker from White Sox second baseman Yolmer Sánchez off the bottom of his cleat to Machado, who got the out at first:
It was a rare good night for the Orioles—they beat the White Sox 3-2, Machado notched his 15th homer, tying those two Red Sox sluggers for most in the league. The O’s improved to 15-32 and are somehow already 17.5 games back in the standings, despite having Machado on their roster. This should be a long one.
