Andrew Hawkins Says His Robotic Touchdown Celebration Was A Shot At The NFL's Stupid Rules
[object Object] Browns receiver Andrew Hawkins caught an 11-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Patriots. He celebrated the score in noticeably rigid fashion:
Yesterday, Hawkins admitted that he was sticking it to the NFL, which has gone out of its way to punish players who dare express any emotion. Here’s what Hawkins had to say:
“Everything you do gets fined nowadays, right?” Hawkins said. “Me seeing the tape of what not to do — and I get it, rules are rules — but I thought it would be funny to do that and troll the whole situation, so that’s what I did.”
Roger Goodell is currently punching Hawkins’s infraction into our punishment generator, trying to figure out just how many games he should be suspended.
