Anthony Randolph Scraps With Kristaps Porzingis, Invites Him Outside
Thanassis Stavrakis/ [object Object] Today’s entertaining EuroBasket game between Latvia and Slovenia was a duel between the former’s Kristaps Porzingis and the latter’s Luka Doncic, an 18-year-old who certainly did not hurt his draft stock with 27 points and 9 rebounds on 50/36/90 shooting. The crafty teen took it straight to his elder (and hopefully future teammate!!!) several times, with stunning results, and Slovenia won 103-97.
But the real battle, of course, was this near-scrap between Porzingis and everyone’s favorite former NBA prospect/current Slovenian national, Anthony Randolph. (FIBA allows each team to field one naturalized citizen; Randolph answered their call.) He hooked one of Porzingis’s dangly, newly swole appendages and spun hard. It wasn’t pretty:
Randolph, clearly at fault, appeared to ask Kristaps to meet up after the game.
Just some intergenerational Knicks bonding.
