Apocalyptic Teddy-Bear Rain Delays Hockey Game
Fans and players in Calgary were horrified as plushy death rained from the rafters. Scores were killed, maimed, and softly nuzzled to sleep.
It was actually just the 2010 edition of the Calgary Hitmen's Teddy Bear Toss, a junior hockey tradition, especially in the WHL. Fans bring old teddy bears to the game to donate to charity, and, this being hockey, fling them onto the ice after the first goal. In this case, 23,096 of them.
