Appreciate Texas Tech's Near-Miracle Game Winner In Slow Motion
We’re not likely to ever match Central Michigan’s 75-yard Bahamas Bowl miracle, but Texas Tech gave it its best shot in an attempt to upset TCU just after the Horned Frogs found their own miraculous reception in the end zone.
We’ve given the play the slow motion treatment to better appreciate how quarterback Patrick Mahomes successfully found the time to reach an open receiver, and how the rest of the laterals enabled the Red Raiders to make it down to the ten yard line. And Texas Tech might have reached the end zone, too, if they’d handed off to the offensive lineman here, instead of pitching it over his head:
With a block from the ballcarrier and the overall difficulty of bringing down such a large human, we think they could have done it. Oh well.
