Arena Football. Outdoor Life Network. Irony.
This image was lost some time after publication. The Arena Football League has found a new home on cable TV. The Outdoor Life Network, which I don't get, has signed a deal to pick up some Arena football games this season when NBC has other things going on, like hockey or the Winter Olympics. The deal was announced on Friday, and there's a game on OLN right now. No word on whether or not the Outdoor Life Network sent a cartoon version of Ted Nugent to NBC in the deal.
Anyway, on to the weekly Arena Football Wrap for which you have been clamoring:
Kansas City Brigade 45, Columbus Destroyers 24. Nice work, Columbus. You were just held to 24 points in an Arena Football game by a team that was previously winless.
Austin Wranglers 56, Dallas Desperados 49. Austin moves to 4-0, becoming the only team in Arena Football with a perfect record. Just think how scary they'll be next year if Vince Young goes undrafted.
Nashville Kats 58, Colorado Crush 36. Tim McGraw's team beats John Elway's team. Nashville WR T.T. Tolliver, who has an incredible name, had four touchdowns.
