Arkansas gets past Mizzou in matchup of slumping teams

Tramon Mark finished with a team-high 22 points for Arkansas (11-10, 2-6 SEC), which snapped a three-game skid. Keyon Menifield Jr. contributed 16 points and Jalen Graham finished with 13.
Tamar Bates scored 29 points and five steals to lead Missouri (8-13, 0-8), which lost its eighth game in a row. Bates shot 9-for-18 overall, 1-for-3 from beyond the arc and 10-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Sean East II added 11 points, six rebounds and seven assists for Missouri. Anthony Robinson II finished with 10 points.
Arkansas raced to a 47-28 lead at the half.
Missouri started competitively and trailed 12-10 with 14:04 to go in the first half.
The Razorbacks took control from that point forward. They went on an 8-0 run to seize a 20-10 advantage with 9:56 remaining.
Chandler Lawson made a layup to start the run. Mitchell and Mark followed with back-to-back dunks, and Mitchell sank a pair of free throws.
The Tigers stayed within range and trailed Arkansas 35-26 with 3:53 left in the half.
Arkansas went on another scoring binge, this time a 12-2 run to finish the half and seize a 19-point lead. Mitchell started the run with a dunk off a pass from Menifield.
The Tigers fell behind by as many as 23 points early in the second half. A layup by Mark gave Arkansas a 57-34 lead with 17:23 to play.
Missouri pulled back within 71-58 with 8:14 left, and Aidan Shaw dunked as the Tigers got within 79-66 with 3:39 remaining.
Arkansas let the Tigers pull as close as 90-84 in the closing seconds. Mark helped to seal the outcome by making one of two free throws with six seconds to go, and he blocked a shot on the defensive end in the waning moments.
