Army Beats Navy For First Time Since 2001
Photo Credit: Patrick Semansky/ [object Object] Army fought off a second-half comeback in order to beat Navy for the first time since 2001.
After an opening half where Navy had just one first down, Army took a 14-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. But the Black Knights had their hands full in the second half, as Navy came from behind with 17 unanswered points to take the lead in the fourth quarter. An Ahmad Bradshaw touchdown run with six minutes left put Army back on top, however, and they managed to hold on for the 21-17 victory.
President-elect Donald Trump was in attendance; he joined the broadcast booth at one point to say that he didn’t know if the historic rivalry was “necessarily the best football.”
