Athletes Know Their Bodies Better Than Anyone

We're no experts on matters of human gestation, but we have to say, we were pretty amazed to hear this story: A New Mexico girls basketball player, called a "star" by local observers, scored six points (two 3-pointers) only hours before giving birth.

The woman said she felt like she "had a stomachache" on the ride home after the game before realizing that she was about to give birth. She said "exercising might have staved off some of the symptoms of pregnancy."

We don't quite know what to do with this story, honestly, but here it is. Though we think someone can probably sneak in an Isiah Thomas joke, somehow.
