Atlanta United acquire Chivas striker Daniel Rios on loan

Atlanta United acquired striker Daniel Rios on loan from Liga MX side Chivas for the rest of the 2024 season.
The 29-year-old Mexico native will occupy a supplemental roster slot, the MLS team announced Wednesday.
"We have been looking to strengthen our depth in the attack and find a proven goalscorer who knows MLS," Atlanta vice president and technical director Carlos Bocanegra said in a release. "Daniel is a player we are familiar with from his previous stops in the league."
Rios recorded 12 goals and three assists in 57 MLS matches (28 starts) with Nashville SC (2020-21) and Charlotte FC (2022).
