Aubrey Huff returns to being sexist after DM exposed [Update]
Aubrey Huff after striking out source: Getty Images Updated Jan. 5: Aubrey Huff’s X/Twitter hiatus was short-lived, as the ex-MLB player and problematic poster reactivated his account and proceeded to be predictably sexist, and offensive.
“For all you r—ds out there passing judgment... it’s called Google. Famous people like myself aren’t hard to find. If you figure out how to use the internet you’ll find I’ve been divorced for 6 years. Last I checked, there’s no crime for a single dude DM’ing a broad,” the 47-year-old known homophobe tweeted.
Included in his divorced man tirade was him pondering whether Isabella DeLuca, the woman who leaked his thirsty DM slide, “might not be all that stable?”
When one user said Huff “f*cked up” by deleting his account, the two-time World Series winner retorted by saying he was on vacation with his kids.
“Knew it would distract me that kind of heat,” the 47-year-old wrote. “So I waited till I got home and the boys went to their moms. So here I am. Imagine a guy more concerned about his kids than his social media credibility. The horror.!!!”
He doubled down on the decision to make a pass at DeLuca, as well.
“Was it even bad?! So what, I struck out publicly,” Huff wrote. “Something I did 907 times on a national stage in my 13-year @MLB career. If anything [DeLuca] struck out with the bases loaded to end game 7 of her World Series! Nor to [sic] many get a shot at the title.”
Former MLB player-turned-conservative mouthpiece Audrey Huff is no longer on X/Twitter. The former World Series champ deleted his account after being called out by a woman he allegedly sent a creepy DM to before disparaging her in another tweet.
The account-ending post was prompted after Huff, who retired in 2014, commented on a “catfight” between 23-year-old Isabella Maria DeLuca and a woman named Rachel Wilson, who goes by the handle Rach4Patriarchy.
“This cat fight [sic] between [DeLuca] & [Wilson] is proof that most today’s women even know…their sexuality is all they bring to the table,” Huff reportedly tweeted, tagging both women in the since-deleted post. “Complete with a desperate need for attention, crippling debt, drama, delusional self worth, & a complete lack of accountability.”
DeLuca responded, then posted a screenshot of the two-time World Series champ allegedly sliding into her DMs.
“Hey beautiful let’s Colab [sic] over cocktails and bad decisions,” the message reportedly from Huff’s verified account — on Christmas, no less – reads.
DeLuca later followed up, adding that she never responded.
Huff, 47, has been married to his wife, Barbara Heaton, since 2007. He has two sons with Heaton, according to his written bio on MLB.com.
The fragile homophobe batted .278, and slugged 242 home runs for the Rays, Astros, Orioles, Tigers, and Giants. His account was suspended in 2021 for spreading COVID-19 misinformation.
