Avalanche's Jonathan Drouin out for series vs. Jets

Colorado Avalanche forward Jonathan Drouin will sit out the Western Conference first-round series against the Winnipeg Jets with a lower-body injury, the team announced Saturday.
Drouin sustained the injury after falling into the boards during the second period of Colorado's regular-season finale, a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.
Drouin, 29, recorded career-high totals in assists (37), points (56) and plus/minus rating (plus-12) in 79 games this season, his first with the Avalanche.
He has 337 points (96 goals, 241 assists) in 564 career games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens and Avalanche. He was selected by the Lightning with the third overall pick of the 2013 NHL Draft.
Game 1 is set for Sunday night in Winnipeg.
