The unpaid athletes that make up big-time college football are having a rough day. After Devon Walker's horrifying injury earlier today, we have another gasp-inducing play that resulted in an athlete strapped to a gurney.
This one happened at Gillette Stadium, where Indiana quarterback Tre Roberson in attempting to score against UMass appears to suffer a compound fracture of his tibia and fibula. It's a tough blow for a Hoosiers football program that can't seem to escape bad luck. Here's hoping Roberson somehow possesses rubber bones and the thing isn't as bad as it looks. [ESPN3]
