Luis Castillo takes the mound for Seattle, who has allowed one earned run in each of his past two starts.

In three starts since joining the Royals, right-hander Stephen Kolek has given up a total of four runs in nearly 20 innings of work.

The Los Angeles Angels are probably ready for this season to end, sitting in last place of the AL West.

The Halos look to avoid a three-game sweep against the NL Central champion Milwaukee Brewers. In each of the first two losses, the Angels trailed the Brewers, 5-1 through five innings.

Los Angeles tries to turn things around with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi, who is 0-5-1 in the first five innings in his past six starts. Kikuchi faced the Brewers last season as a member of the Blue Jays and tossed five scoreless in a 3-0 victory.

Since the All-Star break, Milwaukee is 2-5-1 in the first five innings in home series finales.
