The men’s marathon traditionally closes each Olympiad, and here’s a spectator riding alongside the leaders who snatches an impressive memento: Eliud Kipchoge’s hat.

The Kenyan runner and two-time medalist came into today’s event as the reigning London Marathon champion, and is a favorite to win. His sweat-soaked cap will live on forever on this (presumably) Brazilian man’s shelf.
