Big South Underdog Celebrates Huge Upset Victory With Epic Water Fight
credits: [object Object] | source: Twitter The Charleston Southern Buccaneers toppled Winthrop Saturday, 78-75, in a game I can’t imagine anyone reading this blog actually cares about. It was an upset, on the road—the Buccaneers came into the game 13-15 overall and 8-9 in Big South play, while Winthrop entered in second place in the conference, at 18-10 overall and 12-5 in the Big South. I can feel that your eyes are glazing over. Dammit.
During one stretch this season Charleston Southern dropped six straight games to fall to the bottom of their conference, but they’ve now won five of six and seven of nine, and last night’s spoiler win ended any hope Winthrop had of claiming the regular season Big South title. The Buccaneers are riding high, is what I’m saying. And how did the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern celebrate the big win? WATER FIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!
That appears to be head coach Barclay Radebaugh, dual-armed with water bottles, stalking into a hilarious one-cup ambush in the locker room. These guys rule.
