Mandatory Credit: Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images Safety Jordan Poyer is back with the Bills, signing a deal to join Buffalo's practice squad on Wednesday, multiple outlets reported.
Poyer, 34, spent last season with the Miami Dolphins but was a key figure in the Buffalo secondary from 2017-23.
Poyer was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 and a Pro Bowl selection in 2022.
The safety position remains a depth concern behind Bills starters Taylor Rapp and Cole Bishop.
Signing Poyer to the practice squad affords the Bills a window to measure his readiness to be placed on the active roster. If Poyer needs more of a runway to be considered game ready, the Bills can use of their 16-practice squad spots to stash the veteran and exercise refusal rights to add him to the active roster should another team attempt to bring him on board.
Poyer has 24 career interceptions, 12 sacks and nine forced fumbles in 12 NFL seasons.
