Bills' Von Miller pockets $1.5M after recording sack
Dec 8, 2024; Inglewood, California, USA; Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller (40) leaves the field after the game against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller earned a $1.5 million bonus after recording a sack just 52 seconds into Sunday's game against the host New England Patriots.
The sack was the sixth of the season for Miller, and that total allowed the Super Bowl 50 MVP to reach the incentive in his contract.
Miller reached that sack total despite playing in a little more than 12 games this season. He served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Miller, 35, celebrated wildly after taking Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye to the turf at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
He may not be done, however. He needed 1.5 more sacks on Sunday to pocket another $2 million.
Miller is a three-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl selection. He also was part of Super Bowl-winning teams in both the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams.
