Blogdom's Best: Green Bay Packers

It might not — yet — have the online fanaticism and cachet of baseball, but the NFL and its fans are starting to catch up in the world of team-devoted blogs. To this end, Deadspin salutes these modem-addled souls and proudly presents Blogdom's Best, given to the most outstanding blog for each NFL team. How's by you? Crymany cripes sake, the guldarn Packers are playin' like poop. Believe you me, if things don't get better we're pert-neer ready to give up the ghost, oh yah. Oh, and could youse borrow me a couple two-tree bucks? I need a beer and a brat, you betcha.

OK, now that you've learned how to talk like a cheesehead, (thanks to Cheesehead University for the primer) here's the next important thing you need to know to get by "up nort." It is of course the origin of the cheese hat. In 1987, Ralph Bruno made a wedge-shaped cheese hat from one of his mother's sofa cushions and wore it to a Milwaukee Brewers' game. It caught on, and the legend was born. Other minor legends such as Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr and Brett Favre have helped make this one of the most storied franchises in all of sports. They're not doing so hot this season, but Packers fans have hit bumps in the road before, and know that all will be OK as long as they don't spill the beer.
