Blogger's Stockholm Syndrome
One of our favorite unheralded blogs is The Yankee Despiser. Essentially, some guy who can't stand the Yankees writes just about everything you'd ever need to know about the Yankees. Frankly, we find more information and commentary about the Yankees there than we do at most fan blogs. Anyway, TYD — that's an acronym, you see — rips into the Yanks and Paul Quantrill for last night's near-fight against the Tigers. To wit:
I don't care if they brought back Tino and Stanton, and it doesn't matter if they'd even put O'Neill and Brosius back on the field. The Yanks are far, far from a class act. Paul Quantrill is a lowlife: plain and simple.
The rest of the post details the series in a such an exhaustive, obsessive manner that you just know this guy's gonna turn to the Dark Side eventually.
