Bonds Speaks Again!
This image was lost some time after publication. We're starting to think Barry Bonds is telling us more than he thinks he is. In the newest installment of his traditionally content-free journal, Bonds tries what he can but can't help but let some of the demons sneak out. On the surface, the "entry" is the typical bland prattle about rehab, "loving my fans" and "finishing my workouts."
But we think Bonds is starting to get depressed, and can't hide it anymore. Check out this section:
I'm doing some walking with resistance. I walked all the way to the top of the ballpark and took the elevator down a few times. It was so nice to actually get outside. After that, we headed back inside to finish off the rest of my workout.
Think about this. Barry Bonds is one of the greatest athletes of his generation, a Hall of Famer, perhaps the best hitter we've ever seen. And he's ecstatic about a workout that consisted of walking up the stairs and taking the elevator down. We're sure Bonds is just a joy to be around these days.
