Brandon Marshall Implies Stephen A. Smith Is Not Filled With The Holy Spirit Because He Criticizes Tim Tebow
(Skip to 5:25 in the video)
Brandon Marshall appeared on ESPN's "First Take" Tuesday to continue a private conversation he had with Stephen A. Smith about Christianity, for some reason. What starts out as a heartfelt (albeit out of place) discussion about evangelicalism, however, takes a turn for the weird when Marshall claims Smith is violating some tenet of Christianity by criticizing Tim Tebow.
Smith responds reasonably that there's nothing wrong with him telling the truth, as he sees it. Skip Bayless even defends him, although he's visibly elated about someone invoking God to both defend Tebow and troll Stepehen A.
Marshall counters with a demonstration of how to really speak the truth: by calling Ndamukong Suh's hit on Jay Cutler dirty. Maybe the Bible just affords special protections to former Broncos quarterbacks?
