Brian Matusz Receives 8-Game Suspension For "Foreign Substance"
Orioles pitcher Brian Matusz will be suspended eight games after pitching with a “foreign substance” on his arm during Baltimore’s game against the Marlins on Saturday. The MLB announced the suspension Monday, and Matusz is expected to appeal.
Matusz receives the same eight-game suspension as Brewers pitcher Will Smith, who was similarly ejected for the dreaded “foreign substance” on his arm during a game against the Tigers Braves.
This must be some pretty good substance if people are willing to risk eight games for it.
