Nikolaj Ehlers and Alex Iafallo provided the goals for the Western Conference-leading Jets, who had won five of their previous six games. Connor Hellebuyck saved 16 shots.
The Canucks took a 1-0 lead 4:55 into the game when O'Connor capitalized on a quick transition.
Winnipeg (47-18-4, 98 points) evened the contest at 14:50 of the opening frame. Ehlers cut into the slot and fired the puck into the net.
Vancouver regained the lead with 1:31 left in the first period on a power play. Boeser snapped a 12-game goalless streak by scoring off a deflection, making it 2-1.
Hoglander chipped the puck past the goal line with three seconds left in the opening stanza, extending the lead to 3-1.
Winnipeg pulled back within one at 7:07 of the second period. After the Jets dug the puck out from behind the net, it came to Schenn, whose shot bounced around before Iafallo jammed it in, cutting the deficit to 3-2.
After missing out on several chances of their own at the other end of the ice, the Jets allowed the Canucks to score an insurance marker. Boeser's shot squeaked past Hellebuyck, making it 4-2 with 6:03 left in the second.
The Canucks kept the pressure on, scoring their fifth goal just 46 seconds later when Suter found the net following a strong forecheck.
