Mandatory Credit: Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Brice Turang homered and six pitchers combined on a five-hitter in the Milwaukee Brewers' 4-1 win over the host Chicago Cubs on Thursday.
The Brewers won for only the second time in six games after their 14-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, the Cubs took the rare five-game series three games to two and have won five of their last seven.
Reliever Nick Mears (5-3) got the win.
Closer Trevor Megill pitched the ninth for his 30th save after Brewers set-up man Abner Uribe walked the first two batters in the eighth. But Uribe struck out Nico Hoerner, got Willi Castro on a line out to right and retired pinch hitter Owen Caissie on a grounder.
Milwaukee starter Quinn Priester gave up a run on three hits in 4 1/3 innings with five walks and four strikeouts. Despite not getting the win, the Brewers have won in Priester's last 15 starts.
He escaped a bases-loaded, two-out jam in the bottom of the second by getting Reese McGuire on a groundout.
Cubs' starter and loser Shota Imanaga (8-6) allowed two runs on three hits in seven innings with two walks and five strikeouts. He retired 13 straight batters from the third through seventh innings.
Pete Crow-Armstrong's sacrifice fly in the fifth put the Cubs on the board and made it 2-1.
Turang's two-out, two-run homer in the second gave the Brewers a 2-0 lead. He drove Imagana's 2-0 four-seam fastball through the wind, which was blowing in, and into the stands in right for Turang's 14th home run and eighth in 17 games. It also scored Christian Yelich, who walked to lead off the inning.
Milwaukee added two runs in the eighth on Isaac Collins' two-run single to make it 4-1.
Brewers' shortstop Joey Ortiz left the game with a hamstring issue in the middle of the fifth inning after ending the top of the inning with a groundout. He was replaced by Andruw Monasterio.
