Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Josh Williams has been suspended six games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy, the league announced Tuesday.

Williams, 25, is an undrafted free agent out of LSU. He has appeared in three games this season for Tampa Bay (6-3), including Sunday's 28-23 loss to the New England Patriots, and carried the ball four times for 11 yards. He also boasts five kickoff returns for 129 yards.

He'll be eligible to return Dec. 22, when the NFC South-leading Buccaneers will have two regular-season games remaining: Week 17 at Miami and Week 18 versus Carolina.
