The Bucks were down by as much as 18 and played most of the night without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who exited with a right calf strain just three minutes into the game.
Rollins had eight assists and Porter contributed seven. AJ Green added 19 points on five 3-pointers, while Jericho Sims poured in a career-high 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Former Buck Tobias Harris led Detroit with 20 points, while Cade Cunningham added 17 and Jaden Ivey scored 15.
Detroit took advantage of a flat Milwaukee team after its star went to the locker room. The Pistons' lead grew as high as 18, and they went into the second quarter up 30-21 after Milwaukee went on a run at the end of the quarter.
The Bucks then went on a 10-2 run in the second quarter to continue to climb closer, and they went into the halftime break down just three, 52-49, despite going just 4-for-21 from beyond the arc. Porter had 16 at the break to lead all scorers.
Milwaukee would briefly gain the lead in the third, but Detroit responded with a 20-9 run and built its lead back up to double digits behind eight from Cunningham in the quarter.
In the fourth, Green hit back-to-back 3-pointers to flip the score and give Milwaukee the lead back. He scored 11 in the fourth alone and now has 79 3-pointers through 23 games this season, tied for the most in Bucks franchise history with Damian Lillard.
Detroit turned it over nine times in the second half and allowed the Bucks to shoot 54% from the floor. Bobby Portis also added a boost for Milwaukee off the bench with 13 points, all in the second half.
The Bucks bounce back from their loss against Detroit at home just 11 days prior and win their 30th game in the last 32 matchups against their division rival.
