Buffy's Sleeper Hold
We'd like to formally offer a crisp salute to Every Day Should Be Saturday for discovering the above video, which involves a slight skirmish before the Virginia Military-The Citadel football game last week. It's not every day that a cheerleader puts a cadet in a headlock, but every day it happens is a beautiful one.
By the way, the "skirmish" hasn't received much mention, though we did find this beautiful straight-faced account in the Charleston (S.C.) Post & Courier:
VMI's fake bulldog mascot, Gracie, found herself in the middle of a cadet scrum after a Citadel cadet tried to make off with VMI's flag. The VMI bulldog wore a T-shirt that read, "I eat Citadel dogs" and was brought to poke fun at The Citadel's mascots, The General and Boo. Gracie was unharmed in the skirmish, but may have bitten a cadet, her handler said.
Far be it from us to play Newspaper Editor ... but, uh, could you maybe explain that paragraph for us a little bit?
