Carlos Beltran Put Eye Black On His Head To Make Fun Of Rougned Odor
Texas Rangers designated hitter Carlos Beltran showed up to the team’s Aug. 28 game with a new look, reminiscent of a different Carlos. As it turns out, Beltran didn’t grow some “hair” to fool anyone. He wanted to make a joke at the expense of teammate Rougned Odor.
Within Wednesday’s New York Times on the Rangers’ veterans is the explanation for the designated hitter’s head:
Beltran, though, is not above a joke to keep things loose. Players love to kid Odor — the second baseman with 31 home runs and a memorable punch to Jose Bautista’s jaw — about his prematurely thinning hair. Beltran offered a solution one day, covering his own bald head with eye black.
This guy knows how to troll.
