Carson Wentz Said He’d Give His Game Check To Jake Elliott If He Made 61-Yard Game-Winning FG
Photo: Abbie Parr/ [object Object] Jake Elliott’s big kick not only won the game for the Eagles Sunday. It might’ve won Elliott a big payday.
The Philadelphia Eagles shared a video of a mic’d up Carson Wentz on the sideline before the rookie kicker’s 61-yard field goal at the gun beat the Giants on Sunday. The quarterback said Elliott would be a “superhero” if he made it, and that if Elliott made the kick, the longest in team history, he’d “freaking give him my paycheck.”
The clip’s great, especially the delighted reaction of linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill when Wentz says he’ll give Elliott his weekly pay. An Eagles spokesperson said he’d let the QB speak for himself at his weekly press conference Wednesday on whether he’ll follow through with the offer.
