Mandatory Credit: Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday is dealing with an illness and is available to play in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals versus the Indiana Pacers on Saturday in Indianapolis.
Holiday was listed as questionable earlier in the day and went through pregame shooting drills before the team reached a decision. He was deemed available to play approximately 45 minutes before tipoff.
Holiday, 33, collected 28 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in the series opener on Tuesday and added 15 points and 10 assists in Game 2 on Thursday. The Celtics won both contests and hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Meanwhile, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton will miss Game 3.
Haliburton injured his left hamstring during the second quarter of Indiana's 126-110 loss in Game 2 and exited for good late in the third quarter.
An All-NBA third-team selection, Haliburton had 25 points and 10 assists when the Pacers put up a huge fight in Game 1 before falling 133-128 in overtime. He had 10 points and eight assists in Game 2 when Boston's Jaylen Brown stole the show by matching his personal playoff career best of 40 points.
