César Hernández Circles The Bases On A Bunt Thanks To Diamondbacks' Errors
In the eighth inning of the Phillies’ game against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, two throwing errors by Arizona led to César Hernández touching ‘em all on a bunt.
The Phillies second baseman dinked one to the left of the mound and sprinted his way to first. He was booking it and it looked like it might’ve been close had Diamondbacks pitcher Jake Diekman not skipped the throw into the dirt. The ball rolled to the outfield where right fielder Steven Souza Jr. missed the throw to third by a mile and Hernández completed the Little League home run.
The Phillies scored three more runs that inning to win 5-2.
