Mandatory Credit: Dan Hamilton-Imagn Images Dante Sealy and Jonathan Osorio traded goals five minutes apart in the second half as visiting CF Montreal and Toronto FC played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night.
Sealy headed in Bryce Duke's free kick past Sean Johnson for his fourth goal in five matches to give Montreal a 1-0 lead in the 84th minute.
Toronto responded in the 89th minute as the captain put in the rebound off Jules-Anthony Vilsaint's strike for his third goal of the season.
With the single point, the Reds (5-13-10, 25 points) extended their point streak to four matches and finish August with an unbeaten record. Toronto has points in six of eight (1-2-5) but has just one win in that stretch -- a 1-0 victory over San Diego on July 16.
Montreal (5-15-9, 24 points) has points in five straight (2-0-3) and has not lost in MLS play since a 2-0 defeat against Chicago on July 19.
Montreal controlled possession in the first half, but it was Toronto that had the only two shots on target in the opening 45 minutes.
Ola Brynhildsen had an excellent chance in the 45th minute to get the Reds on the board, but Thomas Gillier got his hand on the left-footed strike to deflect the shot over the woodwork.
Brynhildsen also had an opportunity two minutes into the contest, but his header curled just wide of the goal.
Sealy had Montreal's best chance of the first half; however, his left-footed strike missed the far post by inches in the 11th minute.
Saturday saw the MLS debut of Spanish midfielder Ivan Jaime. Montreal acquired the designated player on loan from FC Porto on Aug. 22. Jaime entered the game in the 61st minute.
Toronto thumped Montreal 6-1 in the only other MLS regular season meeting between the two clubs back on May 17.
