Chicharito Had A Couple Of Brutal Misses Today
Manchester United hammered Club Brugge 4-0 in Bruges today to advance to the Champions League group stage. Wayne Rooney emphatically ended his goal drought with a hat trick, and United are assured the massive revenue from at least six more Champions League matches. Practically the only Red Devil to have a bad day was Javier Hernandez.
Chicharito came on for goal scorer Ander Herrera in the 64th minute. Seventeen minutes later a Brugge player sort of maybe handled the ball in the box, and Chicharito stepped up to take the penalty. Here’s how that went:
Hey Louis Van Gaal and Ryan Giggs, what’d you guys think about the penalty?
Ten minutes later Chicharito got a second bite at the apple, however, and promptly buried the wide open shot for a bit of redemption.
Or not.
