Chiefs Win, Cover Spread And Hit Total With Game-Ending, Otherwise Meaningless Fumble Return TD
After wide receiver Josh Doctson dropped a pass that would have given Washington a go-ahead touchdown with less than a minute remaining, the team settled for a game-tying field goal. But a quick drive by the Chiefs put Kansas City back on top with a field goal of their own, and with just a few seconds remaining on the clock, they turned a Washington fumble into a touchdown for the final play of the game:
That touchdown gave Kansas City more than a chance to make Washington look silly as hell; it also let them cover the 7.5-point spread and hit the 47.5 over.
