Chris Long Did Not Have Much Fun Playing Against His Brother Yesterday
Everyone loves football games that come with a built-in subplot, so it's no surprise that yesterday's Bears-Rams game received some extra hype due to the brother-on-brother matchup of defensive end Chris Long and offensive guard Kyle Long. Two brothers enter, but only one can win! It'll be just like when they used to throw the ol' pigskin around in the front yard!
But it turns out that having to play against one's brother in an NFL game isn't really all that fun. The Long brothers never really touched each other during the game, save for one instance when Chris Long came sprinting off the sideline to pull his brother out of a potential brawl.
After the game, Chris Long told the just how not-fun having to play against his brother was:
"That was a hell of a week," Chris said while exhaling after the Rams' 42-21 victory over the Bears. "It's not fun. I don't want to play my brother. I don't find it fun to have to compete against your brother in a game where it is so violent.
On the one hand, it's nice to know that Chris Long doesn't enjoy being violent with his brother, on the other hand: I'm making a sad face right now.
