Chris Paul Is Out For Game 6, And Everything Is Grim Again
credits: Ronald Martinez | source: [object Object] The verdict is in on Chris Paul, who was hurting a whole lot at the end of the Rockets’ Game 5 win: He’s out for Saturday.
That sucks. The last two games in this series have been grimy slugfests, their late possessions full of clunked jumpers, with neither team hitting 100 points, falling short of the fiery offensive showcase this series might have once promised. That’s probably a testament to the defense being played, and in spite of all the misfiring, they were two absolutely entertaining playoff games whose outcomes were determined in the tense final minutes. Given the current state of these playoffs, it was a welcome turn.
But Golden State at Oracle with CP3 in street clothes smells a lot like a blowout. Those holding out for a good series might have to hope for a Paul recovery by Game 7, but that doesn’t quite seem to be how hamstring injuries work, anyway.
