Cleancast: What's The Worst Thing That Exploded In Your Suitcase?

It’s happened to all of us (even me!): You’re traveling to a tropical locale for a much needed sit-on-the-beach-and-drink-umbrella-cocktails vacation, and your sunscreen explodes all over your luggage en route. Total nightmare time. (Today is the day that we will all commit to a lifetime of packing our suntan lotion in Ziploc bags.)

For the latest edition of my new podcast, join me and my guest Jen Doll, author of Save The Date: The Occasional Mortifications of a Serial Wedding Guest, as we discuss sunscreen disasters and other suitcase mishaps, including the case of one poor reader whose cat used his luggage as a litter box.

This week’s Cleancast also requires a NSFW warning, as Jen and I got really, really real about the female troubles, if you will, that can stem from hand washing your drawers while on the road. I offered up my DIY laundering tips, as well as the suggestion that if you’re doing your wash on the go, you opt for a scent- and dye-free powdered detergent for the best results.
