Club Friendly Suspended As Ajax's Abdelhak Nouri Collapses On Pitch [UPDATES]

Officials suspended a club friendly in Austria between German team Werder Bremen and Dutch side Ajax after 20-year-old Abdelhak Nouri collapsed on the pitch midway through the second half.

We’ll continue to follow the story and Nouri’s condition. He won player of the year last season for Ajax’s junior squad.

Update (1:07 p.m.):

Update (7/9/2017, 9:51 a.m.): Ajax states Nouri suffered cardiac arrhythmias and had to be resuscitated on the pitch. He’s currently still in intensive care.
