However, when you're reacting in anger to a called third strike and you're still holding a bat in your hands, the wrongest move you can make, short of knocking the ump's noodle off, is to hold the bat high above your head with both hands, even if for a split-second. It was a decidedly jarring bookend to the spontaneously cool moment just an inning before when Dustin Pedroia learned he was about to be a father again. Baseball! Emotions!
