Josh Morrissey scored and added a helper, Sean Monahan also tallied and Kyle Connor had three assists for the Jets. Winnipeg goalie Laurent Brossoit made 25 saves.
Viktor Arvidsson, Kevin Fiala and Anze Kopitar were Los Angeles' goal-scorer. Vladislav Gavrikov had two assists for the Kings, and Cam Talbot turned aside 28 shots.
Perfetti got his second of the game with 6:55 remaining. Moments after the Kings' Trevor Moore missed the target on a short-handed breakaway during the game's lone power play, the Jets went the other way, and Perfetti fired in a wrist shot from the right dot.
Winnipeg (45-24-6, 96 points) opened the scoring when Perfetti found a loose puck beside the crease at 11:14 of the first period. Perfetti had been a healthy scratch for the Jets' previous two games.
Arvidsson wouldn't let Winnipeg hold the lead for long, scoring 1:16 later by unleashing a blazing slapshot after being sprung loose by Trevor Moore.
Following a series of Winnipeg turnovers early in the middle frame, Fiala gave the Kings the 2-1 lead. He made his own time and space in front of the net, twisting and shooting into the back of the net at 5:48.
The back-and-forth continued. Connor held onto the puck and handed it off to Morrissey, who popped a shot on net that was deflected past Talbot by Monahan to even the score 2-2 at 11:49 of the second.
The Kings (38-25-11, 87 points) regained the lead 2:07 later. Kopitar was left open in the slot and scored his eighth goal in his past nine games.
The Jets remained resilient when Morrissey jumped up into the play and fired home a crisp pass from Perfetti, knotting the game up at 3-3 with 3:13 left in the second period.
