Colorado St. Recruit Injured In Colorado Shooting
Zack Golditch, a high school senior who recently committed to play football for the Colorado State Rams, was among the injured following the shooting at the midnight showing of The Dark Knight in Aurora, Colorado. Golditch, along with current and future teammates were in the theater adjacent to the theater in which James Holmes allegedly opened fire.
Golditch was struck in the ear by a bullet that made its way through the wall, but was not seriously injured.
"It was at the scene of the movie where a firearm was pulled and shots were fired. It kind of sounded like Black Cats (firecrackers) went off," Golditch told the newspaper. "Everyone kind of looked around the theater and this guy had like a hole in his arm. Everyone just thought they were firecrackers so we turned back to the movie, and that's when my ears started ringing and I fell on my friend."
His friend, Rams sophomore David Anderson suffered only minor scratches. Golditch was released early Friday morning. Image via AP Shooting injures CSU football recruit [Coloradoan] Colorado State commit Zack Golditch wounded in Aurora shooting [CBS]
