Isaiah Johnson and Elijah Malone hit back-to-back 3-pointers to lift Colorado to a 102-97 overtime win over Eastern Washington Saturday in Boulder, Colo.

Isaiah Moses was a thorn in the side of Colorado (2-0) all night as he finished with 30 points, including a spinning three-pointer with 3.1 seconds to go in regulation to force overtime.

The Eagles (0-3) would not go away in overtime as well when Johnny Radford completed a three-point play with 1:50 left to tie the game up once again at 90.

Johnson, who finished with 17 points off the bench, hit a 3-pointer with 1:35.

Malone then made the Buffaloes a little more comfortable with a three from the corner for a 96-90 lead with 41 seconds to go.

Sebastian Rancik led Colorado with 24 points, and Barrington Hargress added 14.

The Eagles shot 59.7% from the floor to throw a scare into the Buffaloes.

Colorado struggled in the first half as Eastern Washington shot 53.8% from the floor and the Buffaloes committed nine fouls. Eastern Washington took advantage of the sloppy defense to hit 9 of 12 free throws and keep the game close throughout the first half, with Colorado leading 41-39 at the break.

Moses led the way for the Eagles in the first half with 12 points of 5-of-9 shooting.

Rancik led the Buffaloes with 10 points. The sophomore hit 3 of his 4 3-point attempts while the rest of the Buffaloes only managed 3-of-10 from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes.

Ian Inman scored all eight of his points in the first half, including hitting 2-of-3 threes in the early going for the Buffaloes.

Colorado scored the first six points after the break and led 49-40 after Hargress scooped in a layup.

The Eagles, however, went on an 11-0 run to take a 51-49 lead, with Moses scoring seven during the stretch.

From there, neither team led by more than five points for the remainder of the closely contested second half.
